Turtle Pride ProjectSerendipity can be a wonderful thing.
It began with a comment, “Don’t turtle your network.” And once the comment was explained, a multi-channel marketing program was born. A turtle was designed, tee shirts and other promo items created, tradeshow booths were updated as were marketing materials followed by email campaigns, advertising, and social media outreach. Anything turtle-related became a must have for event attendees, prospects, and customers. Booth traffic, lead volume, quality, and conversions increased--all due to a simple, on-brand image and slogan that captured attention. |
Book Project: Privacy and Big Data
What do you do when you don’t have a marketing budget but want to push your thought leadership initiative?
Pick a topic germane to your industry—for example, no expectation of digital privacy in the age of big data—and write a book. Sounds simple but if the topic doesn’t capture attention, publishers don’t find it interesting, the execution is flawed, or the follow-on marketing fails to deliver awareness, it’s a waste of time and resources. Fortunately, we managed to capture lightening in a bottle with the publication of Privacy and Big Data, released two years before the Snowden revelations. Coverage included more than 25 radio interviews and podcasts, 20 panel and speaking opportunities, and numerous book signings. |
